The Chains That Bond Us/Broken Families
The overall meaning for “The Chains That Bond Us/Broken Families” is to shed some light on the separation we have in the Black community. I care deeply for the people in my community both Black and Latino alike, so this piece really became an expression of how I see things currently. With the use of symbolism through the colors, chains, and patterns I try to get back into the roots of who we are and how that kept us together initially.
